Tech tour: Acting Commissioner for the Innovation & Technology Gordon Leung visits exhibits at the Innovation Festival '08.

The Innovation Festival '08 opened today to nurture a more innovative culture and develop more creative and technology-literate youngsters.

Opening the festival at apm shopping mall in Kwun Tong today, Acting Commissioner for Innovation & Technology Gordon Leung said students helped organise the event which will feature booths showcasing their innovative projects.

One of the highlights of the seven-week festival is the InnoCarnival to be held at Hong Kong Science Park October 16-18, featuring exhibitions, workshops and seminars.

Roadshows and workshops will be held in Kwun Tong, Tuen Mun, Tin Shui Wai and Causeway Bay until mid-November.
