The Transport Advisory Committee is scrutinising applications for a Tate's Cairn Tunnel toll rise and fare increases for Lantau and urban taxis.
The committee discussed the applications at its meeting today. Chairman Teresa Cheng said the committee has considered and balanced factors like public acceptability, traffic implications, revenue and operating costs.
The committee will soon forward its recommendations to the Government which will submit the applications to the Chief Executive in Council for consideration.
Meanwhile, the committee agreed the parking provisions for cars, vans and motorcycles in public housing developments should be revised to reflect demand.
