The Civil Engineering & Development Department has awarded the contract for the decommissioning and decontamination works at the south apron of the former Kai Tak Airport to Kin Wing Construction Company.

The works are one of the infrastructural projects being conducted by the department to develop the Kai Tak site. They will prepare the site for the construction of advanced infrastructure serving developments in the southern part of the former runway, such as the new cruise terminal.
