Pilotage fees to rise

*
Marine Department

Standard pilotage fees will rise from $3,650 to $4,100 in June, the Marine Department says.

The Pilotage (Dues) (Amendment) Order 2008, which sets out a number of proposed revisions, was gazetted today for tabling at the Legislative Council April 19.

Other revisions include the introduction of a cap on the additional dues for ships of more than 120,000 gross tonnage.

The adjustments have been supported by the Pilotage Advisory Committee and legislators.

Pilotage dues are commercial fees charged by licensed pilots for the provision of pilotage services.
