Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works will open to the public March 15 and 16.

Activities include tours, video shows, exhibitions, and computer and animation games. There will also be a special exhibition on the Olympic equestrian events. Visitors can take photographs with horses from a riding school.

The works, commissioned in 1982 and managed by the Drainage Services Department, is the largest sewage treatment facility in Hong Kong. It serves Sha Tin, Ma On Shan and nearby villages.

A free shuttle bus service will be provided from Sha Tin MTR Station Exit B and University Station bus terminus from 9.15am to 4.30pm.
