Lunar New Year train services extended

Mass Transit Railway Corporation services will operate overnight on Lunar New Year's Eve. Nine Light Rail routes will also run overnight at 10- to 15-minute intervals from 12.30am to 2.30am, and at 20-minute intervals until 5.30am.

 

Three MTR bus routes connecting to the West Rail will extend services to 2am at 10- to 15-minute intervals. The Disneyland Resort Line service will close at 12.45am as usual, but will enhance services to every five minutes from 8am from February 7 to 17.

 

The Airport Express will run at 10-minute intervals from 7am to 3pm February 4 to 6 and the first train will depart Hong Kong Station at 5am.

 

The corporation will enhance its train service on the night of February 8 for the convenience of passengers enjoying the Lunar New Year fireworks display. Trains will run every three minutes on the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan, Island and Tseung Kwan O Lines from 6pm to 10.30pm, and every five minutes for Tung Chung Line services between Hong Kong and Tsing Yi. Extra trains will be deployed on East Rail Line from 8.30pm to 10pm, while trains will run every 4 minutes on the Ma On Shan Line from 8pm to 10.45pm.
