Financial Secretary John Tsang has presented Hong Kong ICT Awards to seven local information and communication technology organisations.

PCCW Mobile Infotainment Platform received the Award of the Year at tonight's ceremony.

Mr Tsang said: "The awards received 330 high quality entries this year. Such overwhelming response not only demonstrates the innovativeness and creativity of our ICT sector but also echoes our strength as a vibrant digital city that strives for excellence."

Noting the Commerce & Economic Bureau recently published the 2008 Digital 21 Strategy, Mr Tsang said the Government is committed to helping Hong Kong's economy improve its competitiveness in an era of relentless globalisation.
