Personalised car plate applications open
*
Transport Department

The personalised car plate scheme's fifth invitation exercise will open December 18 to January 29, the Transport Department says. Application forms and guidance notes can be downloaded here.

Applications can be put in the drop-in box at any of the department's licensing offices or posted to the department's Vehicle Registration Marks Unit, Room 506-508, 5/F, Harcourt House, 39 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai. No payment of deposit is required at this stage.

Each applicant can submit only one application in the exercise. If more than one application is submitted by an applicant none of their applications will be processed.

Upon receipt of an application the department will send an acknowledgement bearing an application number to the applicant by ordinary post. Applicants who have not received any acknowledgement within two weeks after submission of their applications can call 2804 2600.

If there are more than 1,500 applicants those to be considered will be selected by lot.
