Land info system to be suspended

 Land Registry

The Land Registry's integrated registration information system will have special service arrangements during relocation of its data centre December 22 to 25.

The system's search services will be provided by a backup system during the move. As time is required to get the backup system ready, search services will not be available December 22 and in the morning of the 23rd.

Only search of land registers will be available from noon December 23 to the 25. All land registry services will be back to normal December 26.

Deeds lodgement services will be provided as usual on December 24. Customers can deliver deeds to its customer centre at 19/F, Queensway Government Offices 9am to 1.30pm.

The data centre currently situated in a commercial building will be relocated to a government data centre, as it provides permanent accommodation and is better equipped with support facilities and backup power supplies. The registry said relocation will increase the system's security and help contain costs.
