Sha Tin-Central Link proposal under study
*

Secretary for Transport & Housing Eva Cheng says the Sha Tin to Central Link proposal is under study. It is hoped that a project scheme and implementation timetable can be formulated for further public consultation early next year.

She today told lawmakers the Kowloon Canton Railway and the Mass Transit Railway Corporations have reviewed the plan and found adding a station in Tsz Wan Shan is not technically feasible.

They added there is already a network of franchised minibuses and buses providing feeder services to Wong Tai Sin and Diamond Hill MTR Stations.

"They suggested other alternatives be considered to address the transport connection needs for the Tsz Wan Shan area," Ms Cheng said.
