Sham Shui Po buildings to be preserved
*

North Kowloon Magistracy, Lai Chi Kok Hospital and Mei Ho House in Sham Shui Po will be preserved under the Revitalising Historic Buildings through Partnership Scheme.

Secretary for Development Carrie Lam confirmed the move while visiting the district today for meetings on the Chief Executive's 2007-08 Policy Address. She said through good adaptive re-use the scheme will rejuvenate the buildings bringing social and economic benefits like jobs.

Mrs Lam toured the magistracy and Lui Seng Chun in Yau Tsim Mong District, which is another government-owned historic building under the revitalisation scheme. She also went to Ki Lung, Pei Ho and Fuk Wa Streets.
