Proposed road works for development at 35 Clear Water Bay Road in Ngau Chi Wan have been published in the Gazette today. The work is scheduled to start in 2009 for completion by 2012.
The works include:
* construction of an elevated carriageway with footpaths on both sides connecting the existing and extended Ping Ting Road East and the future residential/commercial development at 35 Clear Water Bay Road;
* modification of the public transport terminus and permanent closure of the existing ingress;
* construction of covered footbridges;
* temporary closure and reconstruction of existing footpath and carriageway sections; and
* construction of retaining walls, safety island, drainage and slope works.
The works aim to facilitate the future Comprehensive Development Area and improve the traffic for neighbouring areas.

Anyone who objects to the proposed works or their use should write to the office of the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16/F, Murray Building, Garden Road on or before November 13.
