Works chief attends infrastructure forum
*

Permanent Secretary for Development (Works) Mak Chai-kwong is leading a delegation to attend the 6th Ministers' Forum on Infrastructure Development in the Asia Pacific Region in Beijing.

 

Over 100 delegates from 11 countries and regions are attending the two-day forum. The event's theme is "Investment & Financing System Reform of Infrastructural Services & Sustainable Use of Water".

 

The Hong Kong delegation presented a country paper at the forum's Senior Officials' Meeting today. Mr Mak will deliver a keynote speech at the Ministers' Roundtable Meeting tomorrow.

 

The forum, first initiated by Japan in 1995, strengthens co-operation on infrastructure development among countries in the region.
