The Transport Department has invited tenders for the installation of a digital Closed-Circuit Television System, with five-year maintenance services, to monitor Hong Kong's roads.

The works include design, supply and implementation of a digital CCTV network comprising a central computer system, 425 cameras and associated equipment as well as civil works.

Installation works will be completed by September 2010 and the whole contract will finish by September 2016.

The department has appointed Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong to supervise the works.
