Drainage improvements set for Tai Po
*

Drainage improvement works are set for the Upper Lam Tsuen, She Shan and Upper Tai Po Rivers. The works, gazetted today, are scheduled to begin next month for completion in 2011.

It includes construction of new roads, footpaths and pedestrian crossings and reconstruction of vehicular roads, footpaths and footbridges for maintenance and local access purposes.

Sections of existing roads, footpaths, pedestrian crossings and vehicular bridges will be closed, demolished or reconstructed. Pedestrian access and vehicular access will be maintained during construction.

Upon completion the road and the bridges will serve as local access to the public and will be used by the Drainage Services Department as access to maintain the drainage facilities.
