Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology Joseph Wong is conducting a three-day visit to South Korea and Japan.
In Seoul, he will meet Minister of Information & Communication Rho Jun-hyong and visit a telecommunications company and the Ubiquitous Dream Hall which showcases the development of the Korean information and communications technologies sector.
He will also officiate at the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region 10th Anniversary Reception in Seoul.
In Tokyo he will attend the HKSAR 10th Anniversary Symposium and deliver a keynote speech to update the Japanese business community on Hong Kong's latest economic situation and the commercial relations between Hong Kong and Japan.
Mr Wong will also meet the Senior Vice-Minister for Internal Affairs & Communications Norihisa Tamura and NHK President Genichi Hashimoto to exchange views on the development of the information and communications technologies and public broadcasting sectors. He will officiate at the HKSAR 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner in Tokyo before returning to Hong Kong June 1.
