The Highways Department is seeking bidders for retrofitting noise barriers on Tseung Kwan O Road. The works are expected to start in September, taking about 40 months to complete, including the 12-month establishment period for landscaping works.

The works mainly comprise the retrofitting of 1,070-metre noise barriers on Tseung Kwan O Road and its flyover; laying of low noise surfacing materials of approximately 370 metres on the road; associated road, drainage, geotechnical, street lighting and landscaping works, as well as the implementation of environmental monitoring and audit programme.

Tenders should be put in the Government Secretariat Tender Box at Central Government Offices East Wing lower ground floor lift lobby, 20 Lower Albert Road, Central by noon on July 6. Late tenders will not be accepted.
