Cultural district report expected by mid-year

*

The Consultative Committee on the Core Arts & Cultural Facilities of the West Kowloon Cultural District expects to submit its recommendations on the project to the Government by the middle of this year.

The committee today discussed the initial financial assessments on the project made by its Financial Matters Advisory Group and the financial adviser appointed by the Government.

The adviser has made some initial assessment on the financial commitment of constructing the arts and cultural facilities and their operation, and compared various modes of partnership between the private and public sectors. The adviser has also analysed financing proposals. The group will finish its report as soon as possible and submit it to the committee for final scrutiny.
