The Government has gazetted road works to support drainage-improvement works in the Kam Tin area.
The Drainage Services Department will build new roads and renovate existing roads, footpaths and bridges that are affected by the drainage-improvements work in Cheung Po, Ma On Kong, Yuen Kong San Tsuen and Tin Sam Tsuen.
Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained during the construction work, although some sections of existing roads and footpaths will be closed and demolished.
The works are slated to begin in January, 2008, for completion in September, 2010.
When finished, the roads and bridges will provide local access to the public and to the department to maintain the drainage facilities.
