Report ordered on cable car service disruptions
*

The Electrical & Mechanical Services Department has ordered Ngong Ping 360 to submit a report on the disruptions to its cable car service on January 1 and 3.

Secretary for Economic Development & Labour Stephen Ip said today the Government attaches great importance to the incidents and has told the MTR Corporation and the cable car operator to review its operating system.

The MTRC said it views the disruptions with seriousness and apologised to those affected. Its engineers are working with Skyrail's operations and maintenance team to identify the cause of the problems and any improvements that can be made to prevent similar incidents.

The findings will be submitted to the Government.
