Buoyant market: December saw 8,579 sale and purchase agreements for building units received for registration, up 0.5% on November.

The Land Registry received 8,579 sale and purchase agreements for all types of building units in December, up 0.5% on November and 57.2% on December 2005.

 

The total consideration of these agreements was $28.4 billion, up 9.6% on November and 95.5% on December 2005.

 

About 7,255 were sale and purchase agreements for residential units, up 2.1% on November and 63.9% year-on-year.

 

The total consideration of these agreements was $22.4 billion, up 14.9% on November, and 109.6% when compared with the same month in 2005.
