The Chief Executive has appointed Iris Tam as Urban Renewal Authority Executive Director (Planning & Development) for three years from September 1.

The Executive Director (Planning & Development) deputises for the authority's Managing Director in the planning, design and implementation of the authority's projects.

A consultancy firm was commissioned to conduct an open recruitment exercise for the post. A number of suitable candidates were shortlisted for interview by a selection panel comprising representatives of the Housing, Planning & Lands Bureau, the Planning Department and the authority.

The selection panel recommended Ms Tam as the most suitable candidate for the post.
