Wanchai tram-track works to divert traffic

*
Transport Department

Road closures and traffic diversions will take place in Wanchai on Saturday evening for tram-track renewal works at the junction of Morrison Hill Road and Wan Chai Road, the Transport Department says.

The works will run from 8pm Saturday to 8am Sunday.

Wan Chai Road eastbound between Tak Yan Street and Chan Tong Lane, and Morrison Hill Road southbound between Leighton Road and Sharp Street West will be closed.

Vehicles on Wan Chai Road eastbound heading for Morrison Hill Road/Sharp Street West will be diverted via Tak Yan Street, Oi Kwan Road and Morrison Hill Road northbound.

From 7pm Saturday to 8am the following day, 14 bus and three public light bus routes which operate along the affected roads will be temporarily diverted.

Tram service between Shau Kei Wan/Kennedy Town and Happy Valley will be suspended from 6pm to 7am the following day. Click here to see details of the traffic arrangements.
