A new outlet for the Hong Kong West drainage tunnel will be built on the Cyberport foreshore. The works, affecting about 8,970 square metres of foreshore and seabed, will involve placing a protective layer of armour rock and providing a temporary pier for material delivery.
Works are scheduled to begin next year for completion by 2012. A notice describing the extent of area affected was published in the Government Gazette today. It, together with a related plan, can be seen on notice boards posted near the site. The plan can also be inspected at the Lands Department's Survey & Mapping Office, 23/F North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, and the Southern District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, G/F Ocean Court, 3 Aberdeen Praya Road, Aberdeen.
Written objections must be sent to the Director of Lands, 20/F North Point Government Offices, by October 18.
