A Cathay Pacific flight to Jakarta has returned to Hong Kong after the pilot reported smoke in the Boeing-777's cockpit. All 184 passengers are safe.

The aircraft departed at 4.43pm today and landed safely 11 minutes later.

The airline is investigating the incident and the Civil Aviation Department will monitor the probe.
