Middle Road subway to be extended
*

The Middle Road subway extension connecting the Canton Road area to the Kowloon-Canton Railway's East Tsim Sha Tsui Station has been gazetted. Works will start early next year and take 32 months to complete.

The extension connects the Middle Road and Peking Road Subways with the Kowloon Park Drive Subway. It will feature travelators, or moving walkways. A lift will also be constructed.

Kowloon Park Drive Subway will be upgraded, with an elevator and escalator installed.

The plan can be inspected at the Central & Western and Yau Tsim Mong District Offices, and the Kowloon West District Lands Office.

Those who object to the works should write to the Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works, 16/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, by October 3.
