HK, Guangdong to enhance planning exchange
*

Hong Kong and Guangdong have agreed they must boost the exchange of planning information to formulate a cross-regional comprehensive transport system that aids their economic growth.

Officials from the Constitutional Affairs Bureau, the Planning Department, and the Guangdong Development & Reform Commission, held a sharing session in Guangdong today to exchange views on strategic planning.

The Guangdong side introduced the rationale and research basis of its 11th 5-Year Plan, its regional plan, the development of a comprehensive transport system, as well as the study process and methodology in planning the system.

Planning Department officials introduced the rationale and research methodology of the HK2030: Planning Vision & Strategy study and the strategic planning process and methodology of cross-boundary transport infrastructure.

Both sides contended that putting in place an efficient, comfortable and comprehensive cross-regional transport network will more effectively align cross-boundary transport.
