The Transport Department and Police have called for a meeting with van drivers to discuss opinions forwarded on transporting passengers to the airport.

Van drivers held a slow-drive protest and petition today on Hong Kong Island, despite meeting with the department and the Airport Authority yesterday. Another meeting has been proposed for this week.

In the meantime, the department called on both van and taxi drivers to express their views rationally, strive for an arrangement acceptable to all parties, and avoid any inconvenience to the public.
