Sai Kung development plan amended

The draft Sai Kung Town Outline Zoning Plan has been amended to rezone an area at Mei Yuen Street from 'Government, Institution or Community' to 'Other Specified Uses' annotated 'Town Square with Recreational, Community & Commercial Uses'.

 

The plan's notes have also been amended to include a set of notes for the 'Other Specified Uses' annotated 'Town Square with Recreational, Community & Commercial Uses' zone and revise the notes for the 'Government, Institution or Community' zone to include building height restrictions for different sub-areas.

 

Other amendments include:

* rezoning seven areas to 'Government, Institution or Community (1)';

* rezoning eight areas to 'Government, Institution or Community (2)';

* rezoning an area to 'Government, Institution or Community (3)';

* rezoning three areas to 'Government, Institution or Community (4)'; and,

* rezoning the Sai Kung Government Offices at Chan Man Street to 'Government, Institution or Community (5)'.

 

Anyone affected by the amendments can write to the Town Planning Board's Secretary by May 25.
