The Town Planning Board has amended the approved Aberdeen & Ap Lei Chau Outline Zoning Plan, rezoning two sites along the northern and northeastern waterfront of Ap Lei Chau to "open space" to form a continuous waterfront promenade.
The board has also rezoned an area in front of Ocean Park's main entrance to "other specified uses" annotated "Ocean Park" to facilitate the park's redevelopment, and deleted the possible alignment of the proposed Route 81 from the plan. It also revised the plan's notes to facilitate the proposed provision of a public transport terminus and car park within the park's extension.
Amendments have also been made to delete the provisions for application for "educational institution", "place of entertainment" and "religious institution" uses on the ground floor of a building.
The board also deleted "training centre" use from the notes for the "industrial" zone, and Schedule II of the notes for the "residential (group E)" and "other specified uses" annotated "business" zones.
Anyone can make representations in respect of the amendments to the board's secretary by May 3. The electronic version of the draft plan is available from the board's website.
