Drainage tunnel refinement gazetted
*

The Housing, Planning & Lands Bureau wants to provide a protective layer of precast concrete panels for the outlet of a proposed drainage tunnel at Yau Kom Tau, Tsuen Wan. The move will protect the seabed from erosion and scouring by stormwater discharged through the tunnel.

The proposed works, which will affect an area of 2,450 square metres of foreshore and seabed, are scheduled to start in August 2007, for completion by August 2011.

A notice describing the extent of the area affected was published in the Government Gazette today. Anyone who has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and seabed involved can submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point on or before May 3.
