Review of Public Service Broadcasting Committee Chairman Raymond Wong says overseas experts will be invited to share their views on public services broadcasting, and a website will be set up to collect public suggestions.
Speaking after the committee's first meeting today, Mr Wong said the committee will start work right after the Lunar New Year.
He said members agreed to invite overseas experts to share their views on how overseas public services broadcasting is handled.
"They will come from different countries and they will tell the committee and the public the strengths and weakness of their systems," he said.
Locally the committee will invite all the stakeholders, including RTHK, commercial broadcasters, special interest groups, lawmakers and District Councillors to give their views.
Mr Wong reiterated the committee will look at macro issues and it has no intention of telling people what to air on programmes.
