The construction of ring mains for the Cha Kwo Ling Salt Water Supply System is set to start following the award of a $63 million contract to Wo Hing Construction, the Water Supplies Department says.

The works include the laying of 6km of salt water trunk mains along Tsui Ping and Tseung Kwan O Roads in East Kowloon.

The works will improve the salt water supply system on completion in September, 2009.
