Helipad planned for Lamma Island
*

A helipad with access for emergency vehicles is planned for Yung Shue Wan on Lamma Island. It will cater for the local community's emergency needs when a temporary helipad ceases operation in 2007.

The proposed works will affect about 2,527 square metres of foreshore and sea-bed, and are slated to begin next April for completion by July 2007.

A notice describing the affected area's extent is gazetted today.

The notice with a related plan is posted near the site. It can also be viewed at the Lands Department Survey & Mapping Office, 23/F North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road and the Islands District Office, 20/F Harbour Building, 38 Pier Road, Central.

Anyone with an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and sea-bed involved may send a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20/F North Point Government Offices by November 23.
