Rezoning requests properly processed
*

Rezoning requests submitted by the Society for Protection of the Harbour, Save Our Shorelines and Clear the Air have to be processed in accordance with established practice, unless the request is withdrawn and resubmitted, the Town Planning Board says.

The board said their rezoning requests were submitted before the start of the Town Planning (Amendment) Ordinance 2004 on June 10 this year, and there is no provision in the law for such a request be processed under the new statutory procedures.

This arrangement has been clearly explained to the three organisations.
