Special temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented for a parade and a public procession from Victoria Park to Central on July 1.
The parade will be held in the morning, with the procession following in the afternoon, the Transport Department said.
Subject to traffic and crowd conditions, temporary arrangements will be implemented, such as road closures and diversions in Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Admiralty and Central.
Road closures
The following roads will be closed if necessary:
* roads around Victoria Park;
* Causeway Road, Yee Wo Street, Hennessy Road and Queensway and Queen's Road Central; and,
* roads around the Central Government Offices.
About 81 bus routes and 21 green minibus routes will be diverted. Tram services between North Point and Central will be suspended if necessary. And bus stops, minibus and taxi stands, parking meters and car parks will also be suspended.
Traffic aids provided
Traffic aids will be provided to guide motorists and notices will be displayed by transport operators advising passengers of temporary arrangements.
People who plan to go to the affected areas are advised to use public transport. Motorists are urged to follow traffic signs and avoid driving to the area if not strictly necessary.
