Transport Department

The temporary bus diversion relieving eastbound traffic on Gloucester Road has been extended to June 22, the Transport Department says.

From 1st departure on June 16 until the last on June 22, New World First Bus Route 2 to Aldrich Bay will be diverted via Hennessy Road and Yee Wo Street in lieu of Lockhart, Gloucester and Victoria Park Roads and the Causeway Bay Flyover.

Bus stops on Lockhart and Gloucester Roads will be temporarily suspended. Replacement stops will be provided on Hennessy Road eastbound near the Fenwick Street and O'Brien Road junctions, and eastbound west of Stewart Road, eastbound east of Tonnochy Road, eastbound outside Sogo Department Store, and at Causeway Bay outside Victoria Park.

More diversions

From 4.30pm to the last departure daily from June 16 to 22, CityBus route 70 to Aberdeen will be diverted via Hennessy, Fleming, Wan Chai, Morrison Hill and Wong Nai Chung Roads in lieu of Gloucester Road and the Canal Road Flyover.

The bus stop on Gloucester Road outside Immigration Tower will be temporarily suspended. A replacement stop will be provided at Hennessy Road eastbound near the O'Brien Road junction.

Notices will be displayed by bus companies at bus stops advising passengers of the changes. Details will also be available on the 'traffic notice board' on the department's website.
