Harbourfront forums to be held
*

The public is invited to attend forums on the Harbourfront Enhancement Review - Wan Chai, Causeway Bay & Adjoining Areas in the coming five weeks.

 

Five forums, from 7pm to 9.30pm, will be held. The dates and venues are:

* May 23, at St James' Settlement, 4/F, 85 Stone Nullah Lane, Wan Chai;

* May 31, at the Salvation Army Ann Wyllie Memorial Primary School - Depot at Podium, Heng Fa Chuen, 100 Shing Tai Road;

* June 2, at Caritas Caine Road Community Hall, 5/F Caritas House, 2 Caine Road;

* June 7, at Fu Hong Society Rehabilitation Centre, 1/F, 85 Yue Kwong Road, Aberdeen; and,

*June 13, at Scout Association of Hong Kong, Room 1106, Hong Kong Scout Centre, Scout Path, Austin Road.

 

July 9 deadline

Two community meetings, from 2pm to 6pm, will also be held. The dates and venues are:

* June 18, at St James' Settlement, 4/F, 85 Stone Nullah Lane, Wan Chai; and,

* June 25, at the Polytechnic University, Podium Wing E-F, Hung Hom.

Public feeback can be sent here, faxed to 2576 9792, or mailed to HEC Sub-Committee on WDII Review, 13/F North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road by July 9.

 

Envisioning stage

The Wan Chai Development Phase II Review sub-committee, under the Harbourfront Enhancement Committee, is embarking on the envisioning stage of the project to solicit public views on the types of harbourfront developments they would like in Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and their adjoining areas.

 

Visions, wishes and concepts expressed will guide the preparation of the concept and master plans.

 

The public will be invited again in the realisation stage to evaluate the plans. Based on the consensus arrived at this stage, the draft Wan Chai North outline zoning plan will be prepared in the detailed planning stage.
