The Buildings Department approved 12 plans in February - two on Hong Kong Island, six in Kowloon and four in the New Territories.
Six were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, one was for commercial development, one for factory and industrial development, and four were for community services.
Consent was also given for work to start on 17 building projects that, when completed, will provide 59,449 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 517 units, and 142,013 square metres of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

The department has issued 15 occupation permits - four on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and six in the New Territories. The gross floor areas for domestic use were 125,610 square metres, involving 1,962 units, and 46,355 square metres for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of the new buildings completed in February totalled about $1.605 billion.
In addition, five demolition consents involving five building structures were issued. The department received 1,555 complaints against unauthorised building works, and issued 1,046 removal orders.
