A 15-week public consultation will now be conducted on the screened-in proposals for the development of the West Kowloon Cultural District from mid-December to the end of March, Chief Secretary for Administration Donald Tsang says.
The exercise will include exhibitions showing the proposals, discussion forums and briefing sessions for the Legislative Council and relevant statutory and advisory bodies.
The main exhibition will first be staged at the Science Museum from December 16 to January 31, and continue at City Hall between February 5 and March 28.
The exhibition period was been extended after the Government carefully considered the views expressed by the public, Mr Tsang said. All three screened-in proponents have indicated support for a longer exhibition period.
The exhibition will show technical aspects, operation, management and maintenance aspects of the core arts and cultural facilities and other key development features of the proposals.
Both venues will be open from 10am to 8pm daily. Admission is free. To encourage people to express their views, comment cards will be distributed to visitors.

Exhibit contents and the comment card will be uploaded onto the project's website for public access.
A summary of the screened-in proposals will be exhibited at Leisure & Cultural Services Department venues.
The Government will be inviting professional bodies, arts and cultural groups, and community organisations to partake in discussion forums.
The public can submit views by letter, fax and email, and they will will be made public after the consultation period and taken into account in the process of negotiation and selection of a preferred proposal.
