Building unit sales up 21.7% in October

Sale and purchase agreements for all types of building units in October rose 21.7% to 10,916, over the previous month. However, compared to the October last year, it was down 2.7%.

 

Using a 12-month moving average, the figure represented a 0.3% fall on September, but a 45.6% rise on October last year. The total consideration of these agreements was $34.2 billion, up 40.8% on September, and 6.5% on October last year.

 

Among the 10,916 sale and purchase agreements, 8,811 were for residential units, up 19.3% on September, but down 5.9% on October last year. Total consideration of these agreements was $26.6 billion, up 36.5% on September, but down 4.1% on October last year.
