Sai Kung sites rezoned as green belt

*

The Town Planning Board has rezoned a number of sites along Hiram's Highway in Sai Kung as a green belt and coastal protection areas.

The sites were originally zoned for road and conservation purposes. The revision aims to reflect the completed highway improvement works near Wo Mei.

Other amendments to the approved Ho Chung Outline Zoning Plan involve the rezoning of an area to the north of Wo Mei Village from "green belt" to "village type development".

The revised plan's electronic version is available at the board's website. It can also be seen at the:

* Town Planning Board Secretariat, 15/F North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point;

* Sai Kung District Planning Office, 14/F Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road, Sha Tin;

* Sai Kung District Office, 2/F Sai Kung Government Offices, 34 Chan Man Street, Sai Kung; and,

* Sai Kung Rural Committee, 1 Sai Kung Rural Committee Lane, Sai Kung.

Any people affected by the amendments should write to the board's Secretary by September 2.
