Lok Ma Chau night crossing restrictions eased
*
Transport Department

Starting October 8, private cars with Man Kam To or Sha Tau Kok Closed Road Permits will be allowed to use the Lok Ma Chau crossing from midnight to 6.30am.

The Transport Department says the trial scheme will lead to better use of boundary resources and speedier cross-boundary traffic and passenger flow.

However, private car owners with Closed Road Permits for Man Kam To or Sha Tau Kok crossings will need to complete all appropriate applications for Mainland authorities before using the Lok Ma Chau crossing.

The authorised private cars will be allowed to use the Lok Ma Chau crossing only during the permitted hours. Drivers who do not comply will be subject to prosecution.
