Ferry service stepped up for Cheung Chau Bun Festival
*
Transport Department

Ferry services operated by New World First Ferry Services between Central and Cheung Chau will be strengthened on Thursday, May 8, to cater for the expected demand from passengers going to the Cheung Chau Bun Festival float parade.

The main parade begins at 2pm and lasts for two hours. The Transport Department expects the peak demand periods to run from 9am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm.

It urges passengers to be patient at piers while waiting for ferries, and to follow the instructions given by Police and ferry staff.

The department will monitor passenger demand and will add more ferry services if necessary.
