Expo 2010 Shanghai China, Hong Kong Ambassador, Jacky Cheung has led a group of well-known singers to record the Cantonese version of the theme of Hong Kong's participation in the expo.
Jacky Cheung, Eric Suen, Kay Tse, Hins Cheung, Keeva Mak and band Mr laid down the Cantonese tracks. Fellow star Eason Chan will sing the Putonghua and English versions.
The song will be featured in a short promotional video to be broadcast on local television channels from this week.
A City with Unlimited Potential was composed by Eric Suen with Cantonese lyrics by Chan Siu-kei. Radio Television Hong Kong oversaw the overall co-ordination of the song's production.
The tune echoes the theme of the Hong Kong Pavilion at the expo and pays tribute to the core values and attributes of Hong Kong as Asia's world city.
The video and song will also be uploaded to Hong Kong's expo website.
