A 70-year-old man who received a human swine flu vaccination on December 28 has been hospitalised with neurological symptoms, the Centre for Health Protection said today.

He came down with pain and numbness in a leg in late February. He was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital on March 18 and was found to have ataxia. He is in stable condition.

The centre is investigating the case and checking for the possibility of Guillain Barre Syndrome and other neurological conditions. The centre's expert group will review the case.
