The Lunar New Year fireworks display will light up the sky over Victoria Harbour at 8pm, February 15.
Nearly 24,000 shells will be discharged from three barges in the 23-minute extravaganza, consisting of nine scenes.
A gold ingot-shaped display and the Chinese character for ji, symbolising good fortune, will be displayed in scene two, while scene seven features the characters "EXPO" and "2010" with colourful sparkling fireworks celebrating World Expo 2010 Shanghai China.
Smiley and chrysanthemum fireworks will appear in scene eight wishing Hong Kong the best.
The display can be seen from both sides of the harbour, including Tsim Sha Tsui, Mid-levels, Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Hung Hom.
