A 53-year-old diabetic man with hypertension is critically ill with Legionnaires' disease, the Centre for Health Protection said today.

The Kowloon City man came down with a fever, coughing and chills on January 31 and was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, February 6.

He visited Shenzhen recently. None of his family members have symptoms.

This is the third case of the disease this year, while 37 cases were reported last year.
