The Centre for Health Protection urges people to maintain strict personal and environmental hygiene to prevent hand, foot and mouth disease after a Kwai Chung kindergarten and childcare centre reported an outbreak involving 21 children.

The 12 boys and nine girls, aged two to five, have come down with oral ulcers and a rash on their hands and feet since January 15. All have seen doctors and are stable.
