"SAORI Hand-weaving Project"

Fibre space: More than 100 items of Japanese saori weaving made by rehabilitated people are on show at Central Library.

*

More than 100 items of Japanese saori weaving made by rehabilitated people have gone on show at a Central Library exhibition.

Running until February 1, the free show features saori items by members of the Salvation Army Rehabilitation Service and SAHK Sheltered Workshops. Hand-woven pictures created by mothers of members from the SAHK Shek Wai Kok Parents' Resource Centre are also on display.

It is part of the SAORI Hand-weaving Project which helps those being rehabilitated to build self-confidence and express themselves through saori art by organising weaving workshops.

Central Library is at 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, and is open daily from 10am to 8pm. For details click here.
